 : High fees in Schools
Sir,Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I wish to draw the attention of peopleespecially parents who are blindly paying school fees without getting to know about the facilitieswhich are being provided. The schools are charging high fees on the basis of providing Facilities like bus service, Science lab, latest computer lab, Library facilities, clean and maintained swimming pool etc. But alas! neitherare these facilities being provided to the students and even if they are provided they are not uptothe mark, nor are the parents asking it for their wards.I therefore request the authorities to look into the matter as early as possible and direct theschools to charge fees as per the facilities which they could provide.Thanking you Yours truly Amit Khanna

Trees are blessing in disguise. They purify air. They maintain balance of gases in air. They controlair-pollution. They attract rain which is very important for our agriculture. Their roots hold thesoil together preventing soil erosion thus maintain the fertility of soil. Each part of the tree-roots,stems, leaves, flower and fruits are used in our food. They give us drugs. Fire woods is used asfuel. They provide shade and shelter to animals, birds and insects. To acknowledge their contributionwe celebrate Van Mahotsav. Forests are important to fight against green house gases which areimpacting climate change. Less forests would result in less rain.Deforestation has many negative effects. Cruel persons cut down trees mercilessly on a largescale resulting in destruction. Deserts will expand and rivers will dry up, their would be shortageof water and lot’s of acres of barren land. Dramatic effect is a loss of habitat for millions of species.70% of Earth’s land animals and plants live in forests and would not be able to survive withoutforests. A more workable solution to carefully manage forests resources is by eliminating clear-cutting tomake sure that forest environment remains intact. Cutting of trees should be balanced byplanting enough trees to replace the old felled trees.
